"We thought both build up and break down went very smoothly and the staff and organisers were very helpful.

"Moving a shows venue and its timing is always a step into the unknown and we really didn't know what to expect when we booked, but we thought we would try it and see. I can safely say we thought it was a great success. By lunchtime of the first day we were already discussing how we could do things better on the stand for next year. For both days our stand was packed solid with visitors with plenty of leads generated and demonstrations booked. It was encouraging that many came seeking us out as they had heard good things about our products."

"Thanks for all your help in the run up to the event and last week. It certainly made life easier for me putting previews together for both magazines and the website.

"I thought SALTEX was a big success.

"The feedback we were getting from exhibitors and visitors was very positive.

"It was also a good two days from our point of view as a business and our MD was impressed with the event itself and the response we were getting."

Paul Groves – Landscape and Product Amenity Update

"This was our first SALTEX show and cannot compare with previous years.  We were pleased with the number of visitors to our stand and the very positive response to the Aqua Aid product lines and services we were showcasing.  We felt that there was a steady flow of professional groundsmen and women throughout the two days. The quality of the enquiries showed genuine interest and enthusiasm for alternative methods of turf and soil management."

- Hans de Kort, Managing Director at Aqua Aid

"Really pleased with the new venue for SALTEX, it worked well for us resulting in a very busy stand on both days. We did a tremendous amount of business on the stand and have some positive leads to follow up on."

- Stuart Archer, Post Pullers UK

"We, at Duralock Performance Fencing, were extremely fortunate to have a space right next to the entrance at the new SALTEX venue in the NEC. This was a great position as we saw all of the footfall of the exhibition and because of this, had a great deal of visitors; existing clients to catch up with, as well as new promising prospects, including contacts from universities, sports grounds, racecourses and everything in between!

"SALTEX proved extremely successful for us in terms of leads: prospective clients were able to view the quality of our fencing products in the flesh and this caused much positive interest which we look forward to exploring! It was definitely our most successful exhibition of the year!

"Whilst the venue was switched up to an indoor venue, for the time of year, it worked well and being more compact, there seemed to be more of a buzz about the place. We will be returning next year and we hope that the new prospects we met this year will be converted to existing customers!"

- Abigail Fordham, Marketing Assistant at Duralock Performance Fencing

"Southern Machinery Ltd at stand M120 had a very positive experience of SALTEX 2015 exhibiting the Hustler Turf Range of Zero Turn Lawnmowers. We met with existing and new potential customers and look forward to 2016."

- Southern Machinery

"SALTEX 2015 was for us an excellent show and generated a large number of positive enquiries which hopefully will lead to both sales and potential new distributers for Demon International."

- Demon International

"We had a fantastic show. And got far more from out tiny last minute stand in the corner than we could ever have expected. Re launching a product into the UK that has had less than satisfactory supply over the past 5 years.

"We are ploughing through the leads generated from our last minute booking! Our main objective was to reintroduce IBEA into the Uk through AUTOCULTURE and SALTEX has helped us to achieve this!

"Good luck in the future from Autoculture….. We look forward to exhibiting again next year."

- Autoculture

SALTEX is Back!!  - Great Venue! Great Event! Great Awards!

Despite being the Worlds largest seed breeder and being long term sponsors of the IOG awards we had not exhibited at SALTEX for over 10 years. We were delighted by the move to the NEC. The crowds particularly on the first day were fantastic and there was a real buzz about the event! I lost track of how many new faces we saw. As well as picking up several new accounts there where some really informative presentations.

- Derek Smith -- Sales & Marketing Manager DLF & Johnsons Sports Seeds

"Exhibiting at the SALTEX was our first show that we've take part of, I am very pleased with the outcome of two day event as we feel it was a great success. It was a pleasure meeting all the visitors. We are also attending the Holiday park show innovation on the 11th and 12th November, also at the NEC. With the experience at the SALTEX we are very much looking forward to other shows in the future."

- Neil Matthews, Director at Wild Zebra Creative.

"I have to say the show for us was probably the best we had this year."

- Jason Smith, Managing Director at Eco Clean

"I was really buoyed by the exhibition because we had a lot of positive enquiries, both from dealers and from end users as well. We even signed up our first official dealer on our stand."

- Nathan Walker, managing director at Branson Tractors

"SALTEX outdoors at Windsor racecourse was a very special show and has been a great venue for us to launch and demonstrate new products over the years, the atmosphere at Windsor will be impossible to replace at an indoor venue. As the designer of the Groundsman range, I always enjoyed the outdoor SALTEX event which I have attended over the last two decades, we had the space to show a lot of kit and demonstrate it so I was a little sceptical and certainly sorry to see that go.

"In consideration of this we added a few more TV screens for indoor SALTEX dedicating one to each product and that seemed to work quite well.  Overall, we are well pleased with SALTEX at the NEC and the level of interest in our products. Of course we will only know over the coming months just how successful we have been when the firm orders roll in or not but it has certainly helped that one of the orders we did clinch on our stand was for ten four wheel drive sod cutters for delivery in March. This order came from MJ Abbott, a prominent UK contractor in the Golf Course Construction sector who ironically, first saw our products when we launched them to the USA market at the Golf Show in San Diego three years ago. They came home from that show and purchased three units for trial from our UK dealer, Synergy Products Ltd.  Needless to say we are delighted with the endorsement of the Groundsman TMC46 four wheel drive sod cutter from such a prominent company as their machine of choice for the golf market. Orders like this make all the hard work and effort we all put in seem worthwhile.

I handle the international enquiries and was happy to greet visitors from Iceland, Italy, Belgium and the Czech Republic on our stand this year, we would like to see more international visitors and hope you are able to expand this sector.

"Well done on the debut of the new date new venue SALTEX and good luck going forward."

SALTEX was a great success for us. We are very strong in USA, but we are less well known in Europe

SALTEX was a good opportunity for us to

•                showcase our product range

•                build our relationships with existing Customers

•                meet new Customers

This was our second time exhibiting at SALTEX. The NEC was a better venue for us to exhibit at than Windsor. We received a significant increase in interest for OTR products.

- Gavin Morrison | Managing Director | OTR Wheel Engineering Europe Ltd

"It was our first indoor play event, so we were a little sceptical as to how it would be attended but we were very pleased with the amount of people that attended."

- Stuart Evans, National Sales Team Coordinator, Eibe Play

"Our Aspen stand at the NEC was a real success. We have been attending SALTEX for many years and the change to the new indoor venue worked very well for us. We had the time to chat to people about our Alkylate Fuel without the wind, rain or cold interrupting us. It also provided a good chance to try our hand at creating a more attractive stand.

"We met lots of new contacts both from businesses exhibiting and from visitors to our stand. Whether this was totally down to the new venue or that the awareness and increasing need for our products is growing every year.  Either way we were very impressed with the number of people that attended and we would also like to thank our current customers who came to see us. We're now following up on all of the leads, the real proof will be in the next month when we see where these go."

- Jasmine Kirkby - Sales Coordinator, Aspen Fuels

We was very pleased with SALTEX last week over the two days my colleague Steve and I was non-stop speaking to the attendees at the show. Having looked around the show we felt we had something different to offer.

We had a lot of landscapers interested in our products as a natural bolt onto their current business opportunities.

Post show we have emailed a lot of them and are now following up and booking in demonstrations with them.

- Paul.D.Crosbie, Director at Spinaclean Ltd

We exhibited for the first time this year at SALTEX to launch our new software company.  The software we wrote is specifically designed for dealers of Garden Machinery.

The show was very good for us and surpassed our expectations where we generated over twice the leads we were expecting.

Emyr Jenkins, Jenkins Garden Machinery

We had some very strong leads and a great show.

- Jon Dalton, Sales & Marketing Director, Play Inspections Company

We received just short of 150 leads from the two days in total, which we were very happy with.

Josh Sweeney, Group Marketing Manager, Cardley-Wave

"We had a number of our International dealers visit us at our stand emphasising the global attraction of the show itself. It was a hugely successful show for us with many enquiries being made during and after the show.We will certainly be back again next year!"

Allett Mowers

"I found the show to be very, very good and I think this indoor venue of the NEC has been much better than Windsor. It's a nicer venue, it's been well attended and it's been busy with the right people all showing a lot of interest. We've made a number of sales on the stand and have a huge amount of demonstrations lined up off the back of SALTEX."

- Mike King, sales and marketing manager for Vitax UK

We were all very sceptical about the move from Windsor to the NEC, but it worked out really well. The whole show felt very professional and our leads on the new CRX 410 are excellent. See you next year!

- Pete Farndell Marketing Manager, Wessex International

Overall we found the new SALTEX show really busy which generated more enquiries than previous SALTEX shows."

Holly Jones, Lely Turfcare - Marketing Manager

Ariens Company were very pleased to have exhibited at SALTEX, it was a great way to show visitors what products the company are introducing and will be bringing to professional users. Key products on show were the new Ariens IKON-X zero turn mower, the new ECHO CS-25TES top handle saw and the new ECHO PB-580 backpack blower.

Ariens Company

"We did have a very successful show and we were delighted with the amount of people that visited the stand and so the number of leads we got out of it."

- Gonzalo Brey Canedo, Robert Bosch Ltd

"We had an excellent show, and are delighted with the outcomes so far. We've had the busiest SALTEX show for many years. We are definitely coming back in 2016!"

Eoin Murphy, general manager at Major Equipment Ltd.

"Tildenet have had a really successful SALTEX this year and I was really stuck by the dramatic increase in footfall at the new venue.  We've had interest across the board for our ground reinforcement, turf and ground protection products and the cross section of visitors was really encouraging.  We've got some great leads and I'm already planning for next year's show."

- Richard Jones, Tildenet Commercial Manager

More than 250 exhibitors attended this year's SALTEX following its move to the NEC Birmingham which can only be considered as a successful turnout.

The central location clearly made the event more accessible as we were able to network with customers who had never previously attended, during the two day show.

The first day of SALTEX 2015 was by far the busiest for us however the calibre of visitors across both days was extremely high with decision makers from each sector of the industry attending.

The Harrod UK team promoted the new bespoke design services on offer generating a great deal of interest amongst new and existing customers.

The trade show provided Harrod UK with an ideal opportunity to launch their brand new panoramic team shelter range, showcasing a 4m version on stand, to gain essential feedback from visitors with regards to its design and quality etc.

We received some strong leads from these, but more importantly got to network with many of our existing customers.

We enjoyed the show and would certainly look to exhibit again next year as long as progress is continual and the organisers develop the marketing of the show to the widest possible reach."

Abbey Barnard, Sports Marketing Co-ordinator at Harrod UK

"This year the show has moved from its long-standing venue in Windsor to the more centrally located National Exhibition Centre in Birmingham. I think all who attended will agree being indoors gives the show a different feel and the weather certainly can't put people off. The businesses we spoke to said they were impressed with the footfall and they'll be back next year!"

"Albeit I did not have as much time as I would have liked to spend at the exhibition this year, I thought it was very well laid out, easy to navigate. The visitors seemed like a totally new audience and demographic. I noted quite a few overseas visitors. Most seemed engaged in discussion on exhibitor stands, or were waiting patiently for a representative to become available, which is always a good sign.

"All of the exhibitors I spoke with seemed happy with the number of enquiries and were most positive.

"Looks like it was a good move that delivered success and can only get better year on year."

Steve Eaves – Union Press

"It was absolutely excellent, we were always put off travelling to Windsor for previous SALTEX exhibitions, but now at the NEC it's a lot more central. We got a train which was great because we can go straight from our doorstep to SALTEX. The exhibition is great for industry – it was good to get there and have a look at what was available. We got some great ideas and we purchased a few new products.

"It's slap bang in the middle of the country, the atmosphere was excellent, we know quite a lot of the people there and it was a great chance to network and we'll definitely be returning next year."

Phil Kime – head groundsman at Lincoln City FC

"I've been in the industry for two years now. I came to SALTEX to meet the IOG Young Board of Directors and find out a bit more about what they do. I was there for the motivational speech and I got the opportunity to ask questions to the panel of experts. I really enjoyed it, it was extremely informative.

"I definitely took a few things away from the conference - I'm ambitious and would like to think that in a few years' time I could be running my own site. So the motivational talk and the discussion on morale was particularly helpful."

Luke Devlin, 26, Weybridge Surrey, groundsman at private school called St Georges Weybridge.

"It compared very favourably and the time of the year was so much better for us greenkeepers - you can afford to take the day off whereas you couldn't really afford to do that in September at Windsor. I thought it was slicker and more professional in the way that it was set-up – outdoors at Windsor you'd find that you were always rambling around a bit because it was such a large area. This year's event was compressed and everything was there and you'd look at a lot more stuff than you'd normally look at – because you were right next to it anyway. I like the way the seminars had been done, and I'd like to watch more of them next time. We only work with four or five suppliers so it's nice to see what else is out there. It was half a buying day and half an educational day. We didn't know what to expect which is why we went for the one day, if it's the same next year then I'll be attending both days so that I can attend more seminars."

- Mike Cartwright, Highcliffe Castle Golf Club in Bournemouth

First of can I just say the show was very impressive, in fact the best I had been too, in a number of years. The layout, location, good talks and meeting your dedicated team.

The evening event is a credit to you all also, in bringing everybody together and putting a rewards evening on to represent the best groundsman with the best organisation behind us in the world. Thank-you" -

Andrew Jackson, Head Groundsman at Stoke City FC

"Just to say how fantastic SALTEX and the IOG awards were this year. With the show going to Birmingham and leaving Windsor I'm sure many people's thoughts were that the show would not be the same. But I think the IOG thoroughly pulled it off and it was a fantastic show over two days and also an incredible awards. It just shows how proud the groundsman of the United Kingdom really are. Well Done."

- Karl Standley, Assistant Head Groundsman at Wembley Stadium
