“Predominantly I would say that the majority of our overall business comes from exhibiting at the show
“We have been exhibiting at SALTEX for about eight years now and since it moved to the NEC we have found a location that we are really happy with. In my opinion you can’t just exhibit at a show like SALTEX the once and not return. You need to establish a presence year-on-year because that is when you see an upward increase in business.
“It is not just after the show that you see the results – business continues to come in throughout the year. In fact, we are still getting enquiries from people who visited our stand – literally on a weekly basis.”
“LWS returned to the IOG SALTEX 2017 exhibition after a 16 year absence and its old venue at Windsor.
“It is clear that with its new home at the NEC the show is revitalised with very an impressive footfall of very motivated visitors. We presented the complete Rain Bird range of irrigation products and services and were delighted with the large number of leads we received from a wide sector of the industry including football, golf, cricket and bowls facilities.
“The large number of visitors created a great atmosphere and we were also able to catch up with many existing customers and industry colleagues to share news and developments.
“All in all a great show and needless to say we certainly won’t be waiting so long to exhibit again. See you in 2018!”
“SALTEX is our favourite U.K exhibition to attend and we look forward to it every year. It gives us the chance to showcase new products, meet a lot of new clients as well as meeting up with friends in the industry. SALTEX is a great place to show innovations and see what other companies have been up to over the last year. The people who attended this year’s show and our stand were of a high calibre which has been great for us as we have seen an increase in sales and website activity.
“We will definitely be returning to SALTEX next year to win another Best Stand award!”
“We were really impressed with the amount of customers visiting our stand this year! SALTEX TV was excellent too, perfect for promoting a new product. This year really felt like the show was firmly established at the NEC.”
“It was another successful SALTEX for Ransomes. Our stand was very busy on the first day of the show, and this continued well into the second day. We received numerous leads and enquiries about our range of machines, but in particular, the new HM600 flail mower, and the Ransomes Mastiff, which is the mower of choice at six of the FIFA World Cup venues in Russia next year.
“We were also pleased to sponsor the SALTEX College Cup for the second year running. The College of Agriculture, Food and Rural Enterprise (CAFRE) based in Northern Ireland were deserved winners again this year, and will have the unique opportunity to act as assistant ground staff at BT Murrayfield during the Six Nations next year. Congratulations to CAFRE and many thanks to the IOG for another excellent SALTEX.”
“We thought SALTEX 2017 was a good show. We met with customers both old and new and secured some new business from the show. It was a good opportunity for us to showcase our products to a wide audience, from golf to sports grounds, and encompassing both natural and synthetic turf managers.”

“SALTEX was great for us this year. It’s our third time exhibiting at the show, and I think it was the best one so far.
“Our stand was really busy both days. It was great to meet and speak with both existing and potential customers, as well as colleagues within the industry.
“We found the majority of visitors to the stand were decision makers – either purchasers or in a senior position. This makes discussions much easier, especially around costings.
“We’re very much looking forward to exhibiting again at SALTEX in 2018.”
“We had a fantastic show this year, we had significant number of current and potential key customers on our stand. Our low emission petrol chipper range launch message was received very well as we had the right audience. As we sell through dealers, it’s too early to predict sales but we are really happy with the number of enquiries we had.”
“Our build quality means a healthy amount of Wiedenmann fleet sees a life of service often stretching past 15 years. Over time we get to know customers reasonably well. Saltex is an opportunity to catch up on all fronts. We reckon we saw faces who hadn’t visited SALTEX since Windsor so it indicates that the location is working better.”
“As a start-up business which has only been in existence since the beginning of the year, our first visit to SALTEX has been a very positive experience,” he said. “Our stand was next to one of the IOG theatres, which ensured plenty of footfall, before and after each presentation, but having said that, it was very consistent throughout the two days.
“One of our aims at SALTEX was to look for new dealer partners and this worked well for us. There are several companies interested and again, these will need exploring further over the next couple of months. Yes, I think I can safely say that SALTEX ticked all the boxes.”
“For the second year running the new central location at the NEC, Birmingham again provided a very positive effect on the show attendance, allowing us to network with new businesses and markets who had not previously attended or visited our stand in the past.
It was great to welcome both existing and new clients alike and we really enjoyed the positive feedback received.
“The first day we were not even able to move on our stand and had constant engagement all day, however both days provided high interest from decision makers from all sectors with orders being taken at the show even from end users which were passed directly to our members of our dealer network with Active product being the main focus.
“Great orders, new leads and more importantly we got to network and catch up with our loyal customers, we even had to start taking pre-orders for next year as we sold out of some of our most popular machines.
“SALTEX provided the ideal location to show case our product ranges and gain essential feedback from our customers, giving us a great opportunity to network and gain valuable feedback.
“Thank you SALTEX well done on the shows great success see you next year!”

“SALTEX 2017 was a huge success for us. We had two stands in a great position and were able to see the huge footfall of the exhibition. On the stands we had a great deal of visitors; existing clients to catch up with, as well as new promising prospects. There was a lot of interest in the NIMOS WeedRippers and the Electric Mean Green Commercial Mowers – which boast seven hours mowing time, and we even picked up a new dealer at the show.
“There was a fantastic atmosphere throughout the exhibition and in my opinion it was certainly the best SALTEX since the exhibition moved to the NEC.”
“Having the opportunity to speak to potential new customers – as well as current customers – is invaluable when continuing growth into a new market, and that is why such an emphasis is placed on attending shows, with the large number of attendees and decision makers a particular highlight for the company at this year’s SALTEX.”
“Aqua-Aid Europe BV completed a very successful SALTEX 2017 and left with a positive outlook for growth in the year ahead.
“The two-day show gave the company ample opportunities to speak to customers face to face and discuss their range of products directly with key decision makers across football and rugby clubs, as well as horse racing tracks and sports clubs.
“The high attendance of the show helped to produce significant leads, and Aqua-Aid EU believe this will be a key factor in building on their current list of venues in the UK that already includes Royal Ascot Race Course and Liverpool Football Club, as well as their European customers.”

“SALTEX is very important to us because we don’t employ any outside sales representation. The event is our only vehicle for engaging with potential customers face to face, while showcasing our products, which is enormously important.
“We already have numerous dealers in the UK but as a direct result of the 2017 show we appointed several new dealers from Europe, which is a trend that we’d like to continue.
“SALTEX is usually the only show that we have a presence at. It provides a focal point for the company and allows us to consider the direction the industry is taking which in turn informs the decisions we make regarding development of new machinery.”
“SALTEX is a great platform to showcase new solutions to groundsmen, greenkeepers, estate managers and turf professionals. We had a fantastic time meeting with everyone to discuss our current and latest product ranges.”
