I started in the greenkeeping industry in Durban, South Africa, in 1992.
I moved to England in 1993 and, whilst working as a seasonal greenkeeper at East Sussex National, completed my City And Guilds Phase 2 and 3 Sports Turf Management qualifications at Plumpton Agricultural College.
In 1996 I returned to Durban and worked as Deputy Head Greenkeeper and then Head Greenkeeper at Durban Country Club, returning to England in 2000.
After completing a 2 year contract as Head Groundsman at the Lensbury Club, in Teddington, I took on the role of Head Greenkeeper at Lingfield Park Golf Course in 2002.
In 2008 I was promoted to Estates Manager, at Lingfield Park, and also took on the vacant role of Head Groundsman of the race course in 2012.
